The City of Pleasanton is updating its Downtown Specific Plan. This site provides up-to-date information about the project, its schedule, ways to participate, project documents, and City contacts.

A successful Downtown Specific Plan must reflect the ideas and priorities of the whole Pleasanton community, so we invite you to take a look around and share your vision for the future of Downtown Pleasanton. Please check back often for updates, announcements of planning meetings and other ways to participate in plan documents.

Task Force

At its October 4, 2016, meeting, the City Council ratified a ten member ad hoc Downtown Specific Plan Update Task Force comprised of two City Council representatives, two Planning Commissioners, two Pleasanton Downtown Association representatives, one Economic Vitality Committee (EVC) member, and three at-large representatives. The second Planning Commission representative is to be determined, and the newly selected EVC Alternate will be ratified by the City Council in January 2017. How you can participate

There are opportunities for community involvement and input at each stage of the planning process. The Planning Commission, City Council, and Task Force will hold work sessions pertaining to the Downtown Specific Plan that are open to the public. Additionally, the City will host several community workshops and post two online surveys on this website to gather public input on the future of the Downtown area at various stages throughout the process.
